Welcome to the help section

New to Hyper Galactic Mega Quest? Are you totally confused? This section explains the individual parts of the game if you are confused in one spot. If you don't know where you should start try out the tutorial.

The Basics

Hyper Galactic Mega Quest is all about building a giant empire and conquering the galaxy. The main goal of the game is to build up your networth. Your networth is a calculation of how much your whole kingdom is worth. The game happens in rounds every month. Whoever has the highest networth by the end of the month is the winner. Every month the round will then be reset and everyone will get a fair chance to start from the beginning. Work your way up the list and see how high you can get!

When you first start the game you will need to register an account. This account stays with you throughout the rounds and allows you to login from any computer. Afterwards you will need to decide on a sector name and type.

Sector Types

Each of the different sector types have a bonus and a weakness. Below is a list of the different types. If you are unsure which type to pick you should start off with Forest.

TypeImageExtractionExplorationProductionAttack Speed
Forest 0% 0% 0% 0%
Asteroid 10% -10% 0% 0%
Space Station 0% 10% -10% 0%
Desert -10% 0% 0% 10%
Water 5% 5% -5% -5%
Mountainous 0% 0% 10% -10%

Resource Production

Every unit of land you have will produce one resource every hour. You start out with 100 land of the sector type you chose. You can gain more land by exploring and by attacking other players. Your extraction bonus from research and your sector type will also add to your resources produced per hour.

Command Center

This page display statistics about your sector and current production queues and limits.

Explore

You can pay money to explore for new land. You can explore up to 100% of your total land and it will cost 100% of your total land per land you explore. Your workers will then start exploring at a rate of 10% of your land per hour. Make sure to save some money for exploring as it is important at the beginning of the game. You will want to keep exploring until you have atleast about 500 land total, maybe more.

Sell Resources

This is where you go if you need to get some money. You can sell your resources to the market for credits.

Unit Production

Spend Money, Build Units.... Then you can blow stuff up. Makes since right? You can put as much as you want in the queue but you can only produce 10% of your land of each unit per hour. It is best to spend a little in all four categories at the beginning so you can produce as much as possible per hour. Later on you can specialize in what you think is the best units. Don't forget to save alot of money for exploring!

View Sectors

This is where you can view all the sectors in the galaxy, size up your competition etc. Click the buttons on the right for quick links to messaging, scouting, and attacking. Look at the key at the bottom for color explanations. The farther away your sector is from the attacking sector, the longer it takes to return from a attack.

Scout

Scouting allows you to find out how much land or ships another sector has. Type in the name of the sector you want to scout and decide how many scouts to send. The more scouts you send compared to the defending planets defense will determine the accuracy of your report and how many scouts you lose. If you want a perfect scout report you will have to send 1 scout for every 100 defense points the enemy has. Otherwise you will get a scout report with a percent error. Be careful not to scout a sector way bigger than you and get your scouts wiped out.

Attack

Attacking is the biggest way to get land later on in the game. After you have scouted out a sector you want to attack you can type in the name here and send out your fleet to attack. If you want to get the maximum land per attack you must have twice the attack points in your attack fleet compared to the total defence points of the defending planet and the defending planet must not have any protection.

Networth

Networth is a sum of all your recources, land, and fleet. Land is worth 1000 each, resources are worth their market value each, credits are worth 1 each, and your fleet is worth twice what it cost you. Everything in the queue but not produced yet does not count towards networth.

  • Land - 1000 Each - Gaining more land will increase how much resources you make each hour and also increases your networth. You can get more land by paying to explore for land or attacking other planets.
  • Fleet - Twice Price Payed - By building up a fleet your networth is automatically raised. Units are worth about twice what you payed for them it networth because they are more useful the cash sitting around going nowhere.
  • Resources - Market Value - As your land makes resources you can sell them when the prices are high. This can give you that boost in cash right when you need it to fund your war or exploration campaign.
  • Credits - 1 Each - Credits also count towards your networth although you usually want to invest them as long as you will produce before the end of the round.
